I have always been interested in nutrition and had an almost knowing of what health was supposed to feel like. Deep down, I just knew that hiding issues by taking medications was not the answer. Not that I haven’t done my fair share…mainly pills for my skin. My head and my heart seemed to always hold onto natural ways of healing, even if many times they were pretty buried. Mother Nature was patient, and I finally realized this was the truth. My main journey to healing was in hopes of curing my acne-prone skin, but I have found so much more.
For myself, eating a clean diet that can be categorized as plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar free…boring to many, has allowed me to feel free. I don’t consider it my diet; it is now my lifestyle. And I think the most important word is CLEAN. Our bodies are burdened with toxins every single day. If you can support your body by simply adding in more fruits and vegetables- you not only are helping remove toxins, you are also connecting back to the Earth. Back to the beautiful medicine we already have naturally growing every day.
I use what I eat, and what I think, to live a freer life.
